I know how hard social media and graphic design can be for someone without experience, so I wanted to share some of my favorite apps! I use these websites and apps nearly every day for several of my clients as well as myself. Without further ado, here are 3 must-have apps to use for social media and graphic design.
Must-Have Apps For Social Media & Graphic Design
Trello is an amazing tool that can be used in many ways. It is great for organizing your thoughts, keeping track of to-do lists, and best of all for social media management…their Calendar Power-Up allows you to plan out your content calendar BEFORE you create it. You can drag & drop to move things around, add colored labels, and so much more. For many of my clients I use Trello to map out my social media plan for the month, then plug in content as it gets created. You can add your team or clients to each board, too, which allows you to assign tasks and tag them for approval on things.
You’ve probably heard of Canva by now. It’s a free website and app created for anyone who needs to do graphic design with little to no experience. If you don’t have Photoshop experience, Canva is an extremely useful graphic design tool. It is great for creating professional-looking graphics, and nearly everything is customizable to your brand. Start with a template or create something from scratch!
Canva is free, but if you will be using it a lot, it may be worth signing up for the Premium account. This gives you unlimited access to stock images and a wider variety of other cool features.
If you don’t want to do all your posting in real time, a scheduling tool is what you need! Buffer is a website and app that allows you to schedule posts for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, & LinkedIn. Buffer will let you post an unlimited number of posts to 3 of those channels for free! If you have more than 3 accounts that you need to schedule posts for, you can upgrade to a higher level account for a fee.
There are of course many more aspects to being successful on social media, but hopefully these three sites will help you get a great head start! If you find that you still need help with social media, I’d be happy to schedule a consult with you. I help several clients with their social media accounts, in a wide variety of ways.
